Gospel: “Mary set out and travelled to the hill country in haste… When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out…” (Luke 1:39, 41)

Meditation:
The Visitation is a Trinitarian encounter. Mary, the daughter of the Father, carries the Son, and her very voice causes the Holy Spirit to stir in Elizabeth. It is the first mission of the Triune God into the world of human relationships, sparked by Mary’s selfless haste and charitable heart.
The Medal Connection:
The “M” entwined with the Cross and the two hearts below represents the communal nature of God’s love. It is a “Visitation in metal” that we carry with us, reminding us that whenever we go to serve our neighbour, we bring the presence of the entire Trinity with us.
Action Step: Visit an elderly person or a “shut-in,” bringing a small gift or simply the gift of your presence.
