The Sacred Heart is central to the Medal’s reverse. It represents the “Fire” of Christ’s love for humanity. By wearing the Medal over our own hearts, we signify our desire to have our hearts transformed into the likeness of His—meek, humble, and overflowing with sacrificial love.
