Pentecost Sunday

Gospel: “On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed, ‘Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will flow from within whoever believes in me.’” (John 7:37-38)

Meditation:
Mary is the vessel of the “Living Water”. At Pentecost, she is the shore where the tide of the Spirit comes in. She teaches us that faith is not a stagnant pool, but a flowing river of grace that must reach the parched areas of the modern human heart.
The Medal Connection:
The rays of light from Mary’s hands are like streams of water flowing to the world. They represent the “Rivers of living water” that Christ promised, mediated through the mother who first believed. The Medal reminds us that we are called to be channels for this life-giving, spiritual hydration.
Action Step: Donate to a charity (such as CAFOD) that focuses on providing clean water or aid to regions suffering from severe water shortages.
