Gospel: “And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognised him.” (Luke 24:30-31)
Meditation:
Mary is the “Seat of Wisdom” who always recognises the Lord. She invites us to sit at the table of the Word. This week, we ask her to help us see Him in the “breaking of the bread” and the ordinary moments where our eyes are often closed to His presence.

The Medal Connection:
The Medal reminds us of the Eucharist; on its reverse, the Heart of Jesus is the source of the Bread of Life. As the disciples’ hearts burned at Emmaus, the Medal serves as a hearth for our own hearts. It is a sign of the Real Presence Mary first carried.
