Gospel: “I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep… My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:11, 27)
Meditation:
Mary is the first of the flock. Her Fiat was the ultimate act of following. While all are called to holiness, the Shepherd specifically invites some to follow Him through a Consecrated Life. We pray for those called to leave all to follow the voice of the Shepherd into His service.

The Medal Connection:
The twelve stars represent the Apostles. This week, the Medal highlights the specific vocation to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Mary is the mother of the “Yes” to Christ in a consecrated way. The Medal acts as a badge of total belonging to the Shepherd’s fold under her maternal care.
